‘So long and thanks for all the fish’

Change is the only constant in life. If you can cope, adapt and thrive with that, you’ll be OK.

Today was my last day as an associate editor at The Fresno Bee. For the past 19 years, I’ve worked for The McClatchy Company, in various writing and editing jobs. It’s the only newspaper I ever worked for. Now that chapter is over and it’s time to move on to something new. As much as I’ve loved being a journalist, I suspect that ending this job ends my days as a professional journalist.

It doesn’t end my days as a writer though. That’s always going to be a big part of who I am. So now I’m here.

  1. I’ve recently made changes too. I just left my job as a meteorologist. I have no idea what I am going to do. But, I have faith that in the end it will all work out. The one constant in our lives is change.
